Growing up in a small town in Upstate New York, I learned to appreciate food and all it’s beauty at a very young age. One of my favorite things to do as a kid was to run through the aisles of my grandfathers massive garden pulling up bunches of carrots, picking handfuls of string beans and snipping off stalks of asparagus. I would wash them under the hose and see the vibrant colors pop out from under the dirt that was being washed away. Seeing those colors and tasting the burst of flavor from a fresh raw vegetable made me realize food would always play a huge role in my life. I am now on a mission to have people see and taste food the same way I did as a child. No better way to do that than through food styling. I now create and style food so that it showcases its optimal beauty as well as emphasizing specific characteristics of the ingredients used. I hope to open the eyes to those of you who may take food for granted and have you see it for all it’s beauty, the same way I do.
